insertcredit.com has revealed that SEGA has announced a new AM2-developed "mecha versus arcade game" that will be fully online, hosting matches of ten versus ten.
Titled "Border Break," obvious speculation lends itself to this having something to do with Virtual On, but they note that series has always been handled by AM3. insertcredit.com speculates the reason SEGA is making this game is to follow on the popularity of the recent Gundam game "Senjou no Kizuna," which is making plenty of money.
Border Break will be shown at February's AOU show; I just hope that we wind up with a home version.
