Use roms with Sega CD Catrige Backup

I may be mistaken but I think the backup cart is only an 8-bit memory, just like the SRAM on Genesis games and the Saturn backup RAM. That is, it only appears at odd (even?) byte addresses. Depending on how it's connected I think it might be possible to put a tiny (mapperless) SMS game on it, but that's still a long shot.
