So I finally found a GBA SP - my impressions

Its alot smaller, flip top which is really cool.

I can play it in the dark instead of straining my neck to get my shadow out of the way of the screen.

Good color, good screen.

The only thing I dont like is that there is no headphone jack!!!!

Hmmm... So that would explain the headphone attachment thing I saw at GameStop.

BTW, spend the $100 for the SP, it is worth it. I just put a Halo light on my GBA, and it sucks. The picture gets all washed out. It is still an improvement over playing sans-light or with a wormlight, but not by much.

I dunno, I have my own list of problems with the GBA-SP, mostly just gripes.

I honestly don't usually have problems with GBA's screen. Oh well.

I bought my GBA the week that it was released, so I payed $100 for it up front. Then I bought the Afterburner backlight kit for $35. Then I bought 2 rechargable Rayovac AA batteries for about $10.

So the total comes to about $145. That's $45 more than buying the "all-in-one" backlit and rechargable GBASP. I'm still happy with my modified GBA, and it has a headphone jack. ;)
