Saturn Systems (Couple Region Modded Ones) & few games FS

Saturn Systems (Couple Region Modded Ones) & few games FS ^ What he said. In order to play CD-R games, you'll need to install a separate modchip (~$20 or so). Still, these modchips by themselves will NOT allow you to play Japanese games. You'll still need a region-modded system like...

Saturn Systems (Couple Region Modded Ones) & few games FS

Saturn Systems (Couple Region Modded Ones) & few games FS ^ What he said. In order to play CD-R games, you'll need to install a separate modchip (~$20 or so). You can also use a swap trick to play CD-R games, and some folks say that it's 100% fine to that, and some say it'll eventually...

    Help tuning Saturn Laser

Just keep on fiddling with different settings. If it continues to not work, it's time for a replacement motor. I actually have couple model 1 laser heads lying around, so give me a shout if you'd like to buy one off of me.

Are games supposed to recognize my 4 in 1 as a Memory Cart?

The AR cart will NOT do direct-saves. But other 3rd party save carts WILL direct-save. However, I'll also recommend the official Sega brand save cart, as its data is not compressed like some 3rd party ones like interact, and is supposed to be more reliable. That said, I STILL had my...

    Saturn 3 Pack

You used to get that 3-game set as a pack-in toward the latter half of the Saturn's life. I bought the saturn new when it was around $199 or so and had those 3 games as a pack-in.

    Saturn questions & Swap help.

Saturn questions & Swap help. I dunno about #1 (I don't do swap tricks - getting a mod chip saves soooo much headache). 2. You need to change the battery on the Saturn. There's a small door on the back of the saturn, and you'll see a CR2032 battery (or was 3032? - it'll say on the battery)...

Does Street Fighter Alpha 2 support the 4MB RAM cart?

Alpha/Zero 3 is the one that supports it. (it's actually mandatory that you have it). The only US game that supports the RAM cart is Marvel Super Heroes, I believe. If that game was released in PAL regions, I'm assuming it supports it as well.

4m 13 in 1 cart, how do i use it.

Ah, that sucks bro. But if you're going to still buy a direct-save memory backup unit, try to secure the official Sega memory cart. Many of the non-official 3rd party ones use data compression and have a reputation to easily corrupt your save files - it happened to me a few times.

4m 13 in 1 cart, how do i use it.

I never seen that cart, but since the link provided says it's 32Mbit, this is what I can assume. 1MB (megabyte) = 8Mb (megabits) 4MB (megabytes) = 32Mb (megabits) So basically, it's essentially the same as the cartridge in your first post. (That is, I don't think these are direct-save...

    US NiGHTS on Japanese Saturn

Yeah, I've never seen a white unit with oval buttons - just tried searching the web and even Japanese websites, but came up empty. Must be really rare if they really do exist. And that is really strange. Do keep us all posted, I've never heard of this particular problem till now either...

    US NiGHTS on Japanese Saturn

If you mean model 1 as in gray units being rare, I suppose they're less of them out there than the white ones, but still plenty... At least I found tons in used game shops in Japan when I lived there. And yeah, I really do like the "sleek" look of black Saturns - especially the model 1 units...

    US NiGHTS on Japanese Saturn

Just tried all different possible combinations, and it worked for me. I have later revision of the gray model 1 Japanese Saturn. (Actually the internals of it are - I gutted a gray saturn and put inside a black US saturn shell). JP setting - Action Reply Cart JP setting - No AR cart US...

    US NiGHTS on Japanese Saturn

It works okay for me. Though I installed a region switch on my Japanese Saturn so I don't use the PAR cart. I can "emulate" your setting by leaving the Saturn on the Japanese region and try to play the US nights on the PAR cart, if you care.

4m 13 in 1 cart, how do i use it.

Yeah, AR carts are definitely good, but I was really disappointed in the fact that you couldn't save directly on to the cartridges - you can only save to the system backup ram, then move/copy the files only once you're in the main menu. Oh, and this quote from racketboy's website is very true...

4m 13 in 1 cart, how do i use it.

I believe they're only used for games needing 1M or 4M RAM cart games. Most of the 1M games will be SNK games, and most of the 4M games will be Capcom games. (Although you can keep the switch in 4M setting because that'll still work with most 1M games). Expansion RAM carts like the above...

    Shenmue 2 Copy Protection/Region Lock-Out?

I've installed a modchip (4-pin version), and I played through the whole game without problems on my US machine.

Saturn plays Audio CDs but not games

try adjusting the laser intensity screw. It's the white screw below the laser lens. You'll need a small phillips screwdriver. Try adjusting it by 15 degree increments both ways, and test with audio and data cd respectively. I fixed a unit that had a same problem as yours this way.

What is this??? A Saturn secret cart message???

My Japanese isn't perfect, but from what I read, it's telling you that you need 84 blocks of free space in your *MAIN Saturn system RAM*. It says that you can start the game, but it won't save data (I'm assuming once you pressed start on this screen, game loaded fine, correct?) Just go clear...
